The glass wall is a central dramatic element, a gathering place sited at the west end of a new park area. This placement provides pedestrians and drivers alike views from the central corridor of town and at the major traffic light crossroad. Efforts to discover a meaningful motif representative of Clinton centered on discussions with the public art committee as well as Senator Faircloth. The proposal utilizes a series of millstones as they reflect a theme rooted in the early founding of Clinton in the 1700’s and represent an admirable and unique community camaraderie which is embracing the future while honoring its past.
