DAWN & DUSK New Carrollton AMTRAK METRO Garage
A brief history of this project.
A public art competition was initiated by the necessity of costly repair to trellis structures which encircled the building. Francoise Yohalem, Washington DC based arts consultant, organized a competition utilizing the maintenance budget to stimulate innovative and durable solutions for this massive garage. Heidi Lippman was awarded the contract and consulted with Ben VanDusen of VanDusen Architects LLC for site analysis and project management.
